Latest Issue. Photography by Sarah Friedland. One score and eleven years ago, a woman from eastern Brazil opened a beauty salon in Manhattan. Pubic hair grooming is on the rise, especially for women who are younger, white and went to college, a new study finds. See, up until last week, I was under the impression most women had pubes.
Pubic hair is becoming a thing of the past, according to new research on female grooming habits, as more women are opting for a bare nether region.
A nationally representative study out of the University of California, San Francisco found that nearly 84 percent of the 3, women surveyed had groomed their pubic hair, and 62 percent had removed it all at least once. And it seems young women agreed: Today full-frontal waxing and shaving is more popular than ever. If you don't groom your pubes, chances are you at least know someone who does. Important pube stats ahead! I remember biking to the Korean nail salon every three weeks in high school so that a woman could sear off my film of mustache and thick eyebrows, chastising me if I waited too long.
